Privacy Policy
This policy covers the DoseReady iPhone app and this website, doseready.app. DoseReady is made by Maksym Shevchuk, an individual developer (“we”, “us”).
Effective .
The short version
- There is no account and no sign-in. The app never asks for your name, email address, date of birth or anything from a patient's chart.
- Your practice stays on your iPhone. Your program's rules and your answers are stored only on the device, and readiness is worked out from them there. None of it is sent to a server of ours: the app has no backend.
- Two services keep a random identifier for your install: RevenueCat, the subscription service the app uses with the App Store, to hold your subscription and its purchase record, and Expo's update service, to deliver corrected content. Neither identifier is linked to your name, your email or anything you practiced.
- There is no advertising, no usage analytics and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites, and we sell nothing about you.
What the app keeps on your iPhone
The app stores these records in its own storage on the device:
- your program's name and its exam policy: passing score, method, rounding rule, calculator rule, sittings, and the exam length and time limit once you set them, with earlier versions of that policy;
- your answers to practice problems, whether each one matched, and the error type of a wrong answer when the app names one (readiness is worked out from these on the device);
- the run you are in the middle of;
- the last subscription status the app read from the App Store, so practice can open without asking the store every time;
- the date the app last showed Apple's rating request, so it does not ask again too soon.
None of this is sent to a server of ours: the app has no backend.
Whether an iCloud Backup or a computer backup of your iPhone includes this storage is decided by iOS and your backup settings. Those backups are held by Apple or on your computer; we never receive them, and the app does not rely on them.
The services the app talks to
The app talks to Apple for a purchase or a rating, to RevenueCat and to Expo's update service. Beyond those, it reaches the web only when you open a link.
Apple (App Store)
Purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple through your Apple Account. Apple takes the payment; the app never sees your card, your bank or your billing address. When the app asks for a rating it uses Apple's own rating prompt, and the app is not told what you choose. If you have chosen in iOS settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with us under Apple's terms. Apple's handling of your data is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat (subscription verification)
The app uses RevenueCat, Inc. to check, unlock and restore your subscription. On first launch, RevenueCat's software creates a random anonymous user ID for the install. RevenueCat receives that ID and your purchase history for DoseReady: which plan you bought, when it started, renewed or ended, and the price and currency the store charged.
We use this to open practice when your subscription is active and to restore a purchase on a new iPhone. RevenueCat's dashboard also shows us subscription and revenue totals, which is what the Analytics purpose on the App Store label refers to; there is no usage analytics. The ID is not linked to your name, your email or anything you practiced. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Expo (content updates)
When the app opens, it asks the update service of 650 Industries, Inc. (Expo) whether corrected or new practice content is available. Each check sends a random installation identifier (EAS-Client-ID) that Expo's software creates and stores on the device, together with technical details of the installed version: the platform, the app's runtime version and the update it is running.
Expo uses the identifier to serve updates. It is not linked to your name, your email or anything you practiced. See Expo's privacy policy.
What every connection carries
Like any request over the internet, these connections show the receiving service the network (IP) address your iPhone is using. We run no server, so we never receive it from the app.
Links you choose to open
The app links to the Terms of Use and to this policy, to the documents a worked solution is built from, and to the store's subscription page. Tapping one opens it in Safari, or in a Safari view inside the app, and the website you visit, such as DailyMed, handles that visit under its own policy.
The App Store privacy label
The App Store listing declares, for this app:
- Purchase History, used for App Functionality and Analytics (RevenueCat).
- User ID, used for App Functionality: RevenueCat's anonymous app user ID.
- Device ID, used for App Functionality: Expo's installation identifier.
None of it is linked to your identity, and none of it is used to track you.
What we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number, postal address or date of birth.
- No patient information. Every problem is authored practice content, and the app never asks for a patient's details. The program name field is meant for your program's name only.
- No location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data.
- No advertising identifier (IDFA), no advertising, and no data sold or shared for advertising.
- No usage analytics: no analytics or crash-reporting software in the app.
How long data is kept, and how to delete it
On your iPhone
Records stay on the device until you remove them. In the app, About this app → Remove everything from this device deletes your practice history, your program's rules with every earlier version, the run in progress and the date of the last rating request.
It keeps one small record: the cached subscription status, the store's last answer, so practice stays open. Your subscription belongs to your Apple Account, and a reset neither cancels nor removes it. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the device, including both install identifiers.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat keeps the anonymous ID and your purchase history to verify and restore your subscription. Because the record carries no name or email, we cannot find it from those. To ask for it to be deleted, email support@doseready.app with the order ID from Apple's receipt email for your DoseReady purchase, and we will ask RevenueCat to delete the matching record.
Expo
Expo keeps update-request data under its own privacy policy. The identifier is random and is not linked to you, so we cannot look it up by name or email.
Your subscription
Removing data in the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple Account settings: see Cancel a subscription from Apple.
Children
DoseReady is made for nursing students and is not directed at children under 13. The app does not ask anyone for personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, write to support@doseready.app and we will delete it.
This website
doseready.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts. Its fonts are served from this site, not from Google.
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc.. Its servers receive what any web server receives, including your IP address, your browser's user agent and the page requested, and keep request logs to deliver and secure the site, under Vercel's privacy notice. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.
If you email us
If you write to support@doseready.app, we receive your email address and what you send, and use them only to answer you.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Because your practice stays on your iPhone and the identifiers above are not linked to you, most of this is in your hands on the device. For anything else, email support@doseready.app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date.
